Each item is completely unique with a delicately textured stoneware glazed finish and no two pieces are identical. Broste Copenhagen's Nordic Sand's off-white, colour-bleached, Nordic sandy beach (seen Ewan McGregor in 'The Ghost Writer'?) tones has a strong hint of dark clay revealed under its roughly textured surface. This textured glazed stoneware surface has all the appeal of hand-thrown artisan ceramics, but Atelier prices make them perfect for use everyday. This would make a very thoughtful gift for any generation. There are variations in colour and in texture between each and every item - these are not faults. SEE DETAILED IMAGES BELOW TO VIEW EACH PIECE IN THE NORDIC SAND RANGE We get asked a lot about whether this range is suitable for putting into the dishwasher - because of the indentations in the surface, we would suggest hand-washing as the safer option. Due to the glazed finish, we would not recommend heating plates in either a plate warmer, oven or microwave. These are beautifully finished plates and well worth looking after!
